TOP-IX (TOrino Piemonte Internet eXchange), a non-profit consortium created to increase the development of Internet infrastructure in the North-West of Italy, and Megaport, the global leading Network as a Service (NaaS) provider, today announced a new partnership that will expand connectivity across Italy.
The partnership will see TOP-IX use Megaport’s global Software Defined Network (SDN) to offer its customers seamless, low-latency connections to major cloud services enabling faster deployment of cloud-based applications. TOP-IX will provide greater connectivity options for its customers, who will now have access to Megaport’s hybrid, multicloud, and edge connectivity solutions in more than 930 locations worldwide.
