ISO/IEC 27001 Standard
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard is widely known and provides the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), although there are more than a dozen standards in the ISO/IEC 27000 family. Their usage enables organizations of any kind to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details, or information entrusted by third parties.
TOP-IX has certified its Internet Exchange, or peering, activity according to the ISO/IEC 27001 standard through a verification process conducted by CSQA, involving the company’s personnel engaged in this process.
The certification qualifies that data management at TOP-IX is carried out according to the highest standards, reassuring both current customers (and Consortium members) as well as new entities who may find a reliable partner.
