Transforming digital transformation across Europe with a unified, simplified, and smarter service marketplace.
It has been an incredible year since the launch of the DOME Marketplace. In a rapidly evolving Cloud and Edge landscape, the DOME Marketplace has established itself as a pivotal platform, streamlining the way businesses and public organisations across Europe access and procure digital services.
What is DOME Marketplace?
Launched in mid-2024, the DOME Marketplace was created to simplify and unify how Cloud and Edge services are discovered, purchased, and managed across Europe.
Backed by the European Commission and an extensive consortium comprising over 40 partners, the project brings together an experienced team committed to overcoming the fragmented landscape of EU-based Cloud and Edge service providers.
By connecting infrastructure and platform providers, service integrators, certification bodies, and customers across sectors, DOME Marketplace delivers a seamless, cross-border digital services ecosystem—fully aligned with European values, digital sovereignty goals, and regulatory frameworks.
From day one, the DOME Marketplace has focused on breaking down silos and bundling services in a way that promotes transparency, interoperability, and trust in a federated digital infrastructure.
A Year of Transformative Impact and Innovation
Over the past year, the DOME Marketplace has rapidly evolved to meet the dynamic demands of the Cloud and Edge services European market—simplifying how users discover, purchase, and manage digital services with unprecedented ease and efficiency.
In early 2025, we introduced a major upgrade: providers can now create public listings with visible pricing and accept online orders from any customer. Alongside this, we rolled out a suite of core transaction tools, including order management, billing, invoicing, and payment processing.
Cloud service providers can now choose between integrating fully automated provisioning and invoicing, by connecting their delivery systems and ERP, or handling these workflows manually while still maintaining the convenience and polish of an end-to-end online transaction experience.
- For Cloud Service Providers: DOME has revolutionised the publishing process. Providers only need to publish their solutions once for them to appear across multiple federated marketplaces. This increases their visibility, reduces adherence costs, and allows them to target specific marketplaces, thereby expanding their reach and influence across Europe. To encourage adoption,
providers can also take advantage of a three-month free trial to explore the platform’s full capabilities and reach new customers across Europe. - For Customers: Users now benefit from a comprehensive catalog of offers, a personalised experience with advanced interfaces, and integrated billing for IaaS platform services, making their digital journey smoother than ever. Following the launch in 2024, the catalogue had 72 offerings and this is now close to 120. The catalogue content is continually growing as new service providers onboard each week.
Through the common catalog, federated marketplaces can now enhance their portfolios with a wider selection of cloud applications, attracting a larger customer base and opening new market opportunities across Europe.
“In its first year, the DOME Marketplace has expanded services while redefining accessibility, transparency, and trust in Cloud and Edge procurement. By aligning with European standards, it’s empowering providers and buyers — laying the foundation for Europe’s digital future.” as stated by Giuseppe Cafiso, DOME Project Leader.
DOME Marketplace is looking Ahead: Bringing new and upgraded functions
Moving forward, the DOME Marketplace continues to evolve with new and enhanced features. Since its launch, it has enabled providers to publish unlimited offerings and respond to customer needs with tailored, private offers. The team remains committed to continuous improvement, delivering regular updates based on user feedback— including enhanced navigation, improved performance, and a more intuitive experience for both customers and service providers.
Looking ahead, we’re finalizing several new features:
- Tailored offering management and advanced financial and operational reporting, launching this summer
- Support for online tender management, built to serve public sector procurement needs, arriving before the end of the year
- Continued development inspired by evolving market demands and community feedback
As we mark this milestone, we extend our sincere thanks to the partners, providers, and users who have supported the platform and helped shape its evolution.
Together, we look ahead to a new year with a shared commitment for bold innovation, greater inclusion and new opportunities.
