Who We Are
TOP-IX, the TOrino Piemonte Internet eXchange, is a non-profit consortium that has been working since 2002 to enhance digital interconnection and innovation in the North West of Italy. With over 90 members, including public and private entities, our environment is vibrant and collaborative, perfect for those driven by curiosity and a passion for technology.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive junior figure who can assist us in developing new network infrastructures integrated with emerging computational architectures.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a degree in Engineering or a technical degree with a scientific background or a technical diploma, preferably in the ICT sector.
- Possesses a solid knowledge of a high-level programming language.
- Has 1 to 3 years of work experience, having gained experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Architectures of one or more major public Cloud providers;
- On-premise Cloud Computing solutions;
- Tools for container creation and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes);
- Software-defined network management;
- IT Automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Holding certifications in the Cloud sector is a preferential element for selection.
What You Will Do
The TOP-IX Network Team is characterized by a horizontal organization where individual units are highly responsible, and skills are valued across various projects. The new Team member will be actively involved in designing and implementing the evolution of the Consortium’s infrastructure and will be engaged in the new Network Automation and IXP Federation projects under development. These activities will be complemented by involvement in the management of production devices and specific projects funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program (i.e., Fluidos, Decice).
