Today the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) officially kicks off. This is the flagship event organized by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and the European Commission (DG CNECT) which brings together industry professionals, business developers, researchers and policy makers from all over Europe and other regions of the world to promote political action, industrial and research activities in the fields of data and artificial intelligence.
The theme of EBDVF 2021 is “Digital Transformation Powered by Data and Artificial Intelligence”.
In this prestigious and strong context and proud of BDVA membership, TOP-IX will organize a workshop on Friday 3 December entitled: “Big Data-driven Impact and Value through Entrepreneurship” with the aim of starting a pragmatic discussion on the gap between industry demand and the necessary technical / entrepreneurial skills, particularly in the field of data. Specifically, it will be an opportunity to validate a new format, exploiting and merging the numerous past experiences that include high-level training, the involvement of startups and innovation projects for companies.
After an initial introduction by the TOP-IX team, a virtual round table will follow with prestigious guests of international standing:
- Edward Curry – Professor at Insight Center
- Minna Isomursu – Professor at University of Oulu
- Ana Moreno – Professor at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM)
Moderated by Leonardo Camiciotti – Executive Director of the Consortium.
To complete the workshop, a video contribution by Alberto Onetti – Mind The Bridge Foundation / Insubria University – and an interactive session with the online public to expand the work and discussion table.
