Dati from space to Earth
The subject of this edition is “Daata from space to Earth”: the present challenges, from climate change to sustainability, from fighting poverty to improving the quality of life, raise the importance to monitor our planet Earth from any point of view, including from space with satellite images. As Pierre Philippe Mathieu, data scientist at ESA, explained very well:
Divers (yesterday and today)
In 2019 edition there are 16 divers on the starting line, coming from 7 different nations (Italy, Germany, France, Russia, Switzerland, Belgium and Colombia). Clear male predominance (13 against 3), with a fairly wide range of ages: ranging from 25 to 51 years.
For three weks they’ll study Data Visualization. Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Then, from 8 to 12 July, it will be time for the Final Projects, which will be presented in the afternoon on Friday 12 July.
