The TOP-IX Consortium, already present in Milan, has chosen to extend its network of services lan peering and geographic connectivity services at the Caldera21® data center, located in the homonymous campus, born in the last year from the experience of CDLAN ( member of the TOP-IX Consortium), and built to be Tier IV certified.
“Our presence in Caldera21® data center bears witness to the value brought by our member CDLAN” – remarks Andrea Casalegno, TOP-IX Technical Director – “it also offers new opportunities for interconnection and business to the other members of the consortium”.
The presence of the TOP-IX Consortium within the campus makes available to Caldera21® customers the 90% of the total traffic developed by the Italian IXPs. “The agreement with TOP-IX further certifies the validity of the Caldera21® project and highlights the fact that it is becoming an increasingly strategic element of the Italian Internet ecosystem”, concludes Cristiano Zanforlin, Sales & Marketing Director of CDLAN.
