Till july 21st, the 20 “Divers”, coming from six different nations, will attend the training program organized by TOP-IX Consortium, in collaboration with ISI Foundation, ToDo and Axant.it.
Monday 19th, the sixth edition of Big Dive has officially started. The twenty participants come from six different nations: Italy, Germany, Poland, Greece, India, Russia. The current edition has seen also a growing number of female wannabe-data-scientists: 6 girls against an average of 2-3.
The firs week is focused on the Data Visualization topic and on Friday June 23rd, the guest speaker Maarten Lambrechts holds his guest lecture “A 10 year journey onto dataviz”, an amazing slideshow of his projects and the tools he used to create them.
But BIG DIVE is not only about theory, as usual there will be the opportunity to do a lot of practice. Particularly Divers will have the chance to work on the datasets provided by Data Sponsors: Fondazione Giovanni Agnelli, IFC, memeber of the World Bank Group, e TESISQUARE.
