As known, on last Tuesday 14th at about 11.40am (CET) we had an issue on IXP backbone that caused total block of interconnection services provided by TOP-IX Consortium.
Aforementioned issue involved VTP server/client of devices in TOP-IX network, undermining VLAN data base integrity.
Having detected the problem, TOP-IX NOC gradually recovered all the services provided on its platform, ending at 12.45.
Once the team has fixed the issue, appropriate countermeasures have been implemented to avoid same problems in the future.
